Well, it has finally happened. Addison cut her very first tooth! Doug and I have been wondering the last few days if a tooth was coming in because she's been crabby here and there. She didn't run a fever or gum anything more than usual. Her appetite slowed and when she was done eating, she was done and let you know it by screaming and crying big crocodile tears. Doug and I thought maybe our happy little baby was just not going to be that happy anymore. We're glad to find that the tooth was the problem!!
Addison and I were in swim class when she started chewing on my jaw, as usual. I felt something and thought maybe it was an actual tooth. Of course, it was impossible to get a good look. If you stick your finger in her mouth, she'll chomp down on it. If you pull her lip down, she'll stick her tongue out. But eventually I got a short glimpse and saw a tiny tooth poking through her bottom right gum. Should I go out and get her first tooth brush yet??? ;-)
I looked through both Doug and my baby books awhile back to see when each of us got our first tooth. I think Doug's came in around 5 months and mine didn't come in until 11 months. So she wasn't far off from me. But then there goes the old wives tale of the longer it takes for the teeth to come in the better the teeth. Doug has perfect teeth and I have a mouthful of cavities! I think heredity has a lot to do with it, both sides of my family have cavity issues. Here's hoping Addison gets Doug's cavity free teeth! Oh, but she should definitely take after me and my 20/20 vision though!
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Enjoy the wonderful weather!

10 Months
Only two more months and we'll be celebrating Addison's 1st birthday - man, that's hard to believe! She is growing so quickly and has her own personality. She's definitely an active little girl. She'll walk a mile with you holding her hands and loves to crawl laps around the house. She has stood up on her own, but only for short periods of time and when SHE feels like it. I think she's quite capable of standing for long stints, but she just always wants to be on the move.
The month started off with an ice/snow storm. I snapped a few shots of the scenery.

Every single blade of grass was covered in ice.
It layed over our pine trees.
Ice covered picnic table.
Doug pulling Chris behind the 4-wheeler.
Our snowman - not bad for amateurs!
The amateurs!
Addison finally woke up from her 2 hour nap to join us for a bit!
Playing with one of her favorite toys - Leap Frog Activity Center.
Can you see me?
There she is!
Playing in her Zoo.
Daddy trying to dress her in camo.
Mixing the batter for cookies!
Putting sprinkles on our Valentine's Day cookies.
The finished product.
Yummy!
(I didn't really let her eat it - I know mean mom, Doug already told me!)
She's starting to crawl under all our end/coffee tables.
Braden came in for a short visit! He's a big fan of Elmo.
Braden and Lori - it was so nice visiting!
My Grandpa Real's 80th Birthday cake.
My sister Janel and cousin Wendy made this - it looks EXACTLY like the real thing.
All 8 daughters are in the water on rafts and Grandma and Grandpa are up top driving - very intricate.
He was surprised!
She loved kissing the balloon.
Too bad she wasn't looking!
Looking, but no smile...
Ok, this has to be the most uncomfortable sleeping position ever!
(I just had to get a picture before I moved her)
She still gives big wet open-mouthed kisses, but now likes to gnaw on my jaw!
(Thank goodness she doesn't have teeth or that would hurt)
Getting ready for swim lessons at the YMCA!
I think she's ready!
Kick, kick!
Of course she tries to put the huge whale in her mouth. My goodness!
Lunch out.
Please Mom, no pictures.
Attacking the camera.
Reading our Bible before bed.
