St. Nicholas and Cookie Baking

St. Nicholas was a little more exciting for Addison this year although she still didn't tear into the presents like I thought she would.  I would start opening a gift for her and then she would rip a small piece off and then have to go throw it in the trash can.  I was so proud!!!

St. Nicholas came!

Grabbing a gift out of my stocking.

Cheese!

We also had our annual Cookie Baking day at the Vasquez's on Friday.  For those that don't know, it's an all day and night affair.  Grandma Joan calculated this year's total to over 500 dozen cookies.  I can't remember how many kinds we did, I can think of 9 right now.  Baking started around 6:00am (Addison and I didn't get there until 8:00) and ended about 5:30pm - I think that was a record finishing time too!  Right now Addison is going through a phase where she wants to eat ALL the time - she'll say bite or eat all day long.  Well, the aunts actually listened to her when she said it so she had her fair share of vanilla wafers, graham fish and a few cookies.  I was amazed that she didn't grab more cookies off the tables when they were cooling.  She was an angel all day long - barely any whining, she was letting everyone hold her and even took a 3 hour nap.  It was a great day!

All the ingredients for the cookies.
Look at that stack of butter!

18 Month Pictures by Dinan Photo

Alethea did another great job on Addison's pictures!  It took Addison a few minutes to get comfortable but then her personality really started to show...

Thanksgiving 2011

My how things change when you have a baby.  I remember BA (Before Addison) the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving was the biggest party night of the year.  Everyone would go out and you would see all your old friends and party till you dropped.  Well, those days are long gone and this year we had Game Night at the Muehlhauser's - kiddos included.  I wouldn't want to spend it any other way!

Thanksgiving was a wonderful day filled with lots of family time and food!  Addison got to play with all her cousins and she even got in a little nap.  We had lunch at the Muehlhauser's and dinner at the Stein's.  We missed the Vasquez's but will catch them on Christmas.  Too many places to go in so little time!

I'll deal first, ok Jack?

Just watching the adults play their games.

We created our own game - the pillow game!

Thanksgiving morning.
Daddy put on my diaper and I put on my boots.  All ready!

Having a little Cheerio snack.

Checking out the sale ads with Aunt Janel and Collin.

Nana and I were matching with our purple.

Another UNsuccessful grandkid pic!

Do I tell Uncle Bruce that I can do this on my own???
Nah....

I knew Papa would give me more to eat!

Winding down with some sing-along videos with Mama.
